Xgeva is a medication prescribed to help and prevent several types of bone problems.
Xgeva contains denosumab. This is a kind of biologic (a drug created from parts of living organisms) called a monoclonal antibody.
Xgeva is only administered by injection under the fatty skin of the upper thigh, abdomen, or upper arm, once every four weeks.
A pharmacist or any healthcare provider will give you Xgeva as an injection under your skin (subcutaneous injection). You’ll go to a clinic for the injections.
Xgeva helps with bone metastasis that occurs when cancer spreads to your bones. And a solid tumor is a lump of tissue that forms when cells grow too quickly. It’s solid because it doesn’t contain liquid.
Xgeva Is mostly used for adults . However, the drug is also approved to treat giant cell tumors in adolescents whose bones have finished growing.

Blood in the stool
change in bowel habits
clear or bloody discharge from the nipple: This is not a good sign although most people don’t complain of having this it could occur and you’ll need to see your doctor as soon as possible.
constipation
darkened urine
difficulty with eating: Also loss of appetite.
dimpling of the breast skin
indigestion
inverted nipple
itching, pain, redness, swelling, tenderness, or warmth on the skin
lower back or side pain
lump in the breast or under the arm
lump or swelling in the abdomen or stomach
nausea
pains in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
persistent crusting or scaling of the nipple
raised, firm, and bright red patches of the skin on the arm or leg
Note: All these are very rare, we don’t see this everyday but once you see any sign of the following then you need medical attention as soon as possible.
Side effects from Xgeva could occur immediately or may take some time, it all depends on your body system .
Some people are allergic or Anything Xgeva so they’re body is meant to react badly to the drug.

How long does side effects from Xgeva last?
In rare cases when they occur, Xgeva side effects last up to three months. They do not persist or last more than five months. But that may vary too.
